Dr. Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko is a distinguished executive and process consultant with over three decades of experience in banking operations, finance, organizational development, and dispute resolution. Dr. Owusu-Darko has a proven track record of leading teams through significant organizational transformations and regulatory reforms, showcasing his ability to manage complex change initiatives and enhance organizational effectiveness within various financial institutions.

His career in banking and financial services includes senior executive roles such as Chief Operating Officer at Ideal Finance and Senior Vice President at The Royal Bank Ghana, where he led operations, consumer banking, recovery, and operational risk management. He also served as Head of Consumer Banking Operations and Head of Operational Risk at Merchant Bank (now UMB Bank). Across these roles, he played a pivotal part in institutional restructuring, performance improvement, and the development of robust risk and governance frameworks.

Dr. Owusu-Darko also serves as a facilitator with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and has led workshops for organizations on change management, personal effectiveness, innovation & creativity, and strategic execution. Throughout his career, he has held prominent leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA). During his tenure at NPRA, Dr. Owusu-Darko facilitated the development of new pension investment guidelines for Ghana, successfully achieved financial autonomy for the Authority by transitioning from government subvention, and spearheaded the development of a five-year strategic plan for the pensions industry. His leadership also contributed to the development of a Scheme of Service for the NPRA, decentralizing the operations of the Authority to other regions of the country and positioning the NPRA as a key player in Ghana’s financial sector regulatory landscape.
