TOR 1: ORGANIZATION ASSESSMENT / DIAGNOSIS
Background
Organizational performance is influenced by a combination of culture, internal effectiveness, and team dynamics. Culture encompasses both visible elements such as structure, titles, and practices, and invisible elements like values, assumptions, and norms. Sub-cultures often exist within organizations and can either reinforce or undermine strategic goals. Team effectiveness is characterized by trust, shared leadership, risk-taking, and clear communication. Meanwhile, organizational effectiveness reflects strong leadership, systems, monitoring, and adaptability to internal and external conditions.
To drive meaningful and sustainable change, a robust diagnostic is required that assesses these three interrelated dimensions: organizational culture, organizational effectiveness, and team effectiveness. that assesses these three interrelated dimensions: organizational culture, organizational effectiveness, and team effectiveness.
Objectives
To conduct a comprehensive assessment that provides insights into cultural alignment, organizational systems and structures, and team-level performance to guide future interventions and strategic planning.
Scope of Services
The diagnostic will focus on the following components:
a. Culture Assessment : Conduct culture perception surveys and interviews. Assess alignment between espoused values and lived behaviours. Identify cultural strengths and gaps
b. Organizational Effectiveness : Review of structure, processes, decision-making, and internal coordination. Analyze systems and workflow efficiency
c. Team Effectiveness : Evaluate team cohesion, communication, and collaboration. Assess clarity of roles and interdependence. Facilitate team performance self-assessments and peer feedback.
Transfer of Knowledge/Training
Equip internal staff with tools for continuous assessment. Share diagnostic frameworks with HR/OD teams for future use.
Deliverables
Comprehensive Diagnostic Report covering all three dimensions. Executive Summary with key findings and recommendations. Culture Map, Organizational Health Scorecard, and Team Effectiveness Dashboards
